Woodmoor is a community in the northern part of unincorporated El Paso County, on the Palmer Divide, near Monument. It is conveniently located within daily commuting distance to Colorado Springs, Castle Rock and the Denver Tech Center. Local points of interest include the United States Air Force Academy, Pikes Peak National Forest and the Santa Fe Trail.
Woodmoor community was build around the Monument Hill Country Club, an 18 hole semi-private golf course that was designed by J. Press Maxwell. Woodmoor is comprised of 2,000 acres and approximately 3000 lots. This acreage includes forests of Ponderosa pines and grassy meadows. Elevations within the community range from 6900 to 7400 feet.
